It's a Thursday so Pee's here to clean the house.
Pee has already accidentally walked in on Geoff in the bathroom so today Geoff will warn her that he'll be in there. OK... Initially, she has an odd look on her face so Geoff will check his Thai with his friend Jack.

May 3 - The king on his throne
Today was our weekly visit from the housekeeper. Our master-bath doesn’t have a door to separate it from the bedroom. Pee walked in on Geoff while he was sitting on the toilet.
Below is a photo of Turner & Ronan from the upstairs patio. There’s a view of our soi(street) where you might be able to see some construction work going on across the street. Construction is different here. Most of the work is done by hand. Very few power tools. No cement mixers. Instead… big piles of sand, other materials, large basins, buckets of water, etc. We see 3 or 4 story buildings with people working off of bamboo scaffolding. Workers often live in shack-type homes next to the buildings. But, highway construction... that's more modernized.
April 26 - Oh happy day!
Today was the 1st cleaning by Pee. She washed the windows, cleaned the bathrooms, mopped the floors and DRIVEWAY! (it’s sort of tiled) and a bunch of other stuff.
I’m SOOOOO over any issues with having someone else clean the house :o)

April 25 - Crocodile Farm at Samutprakarn
“TO DO” today:
1- Shop for cleaning supplies for Pee to clean the house tomorrow
2- Go to the Crocodile Farm in Samutprakarn
Pee has given us a list of supplies: floor cleaner, mop, glass cleaner, etc. OK, so I find toilet, window and floor cleaner printed in English. English labeled floor cleaner is offered in “pink” and “blue”. Ummmmm, my floors are beige.
At the Crocodile Farm we watched a wrestling show and fed the crocs buckets of what looked like chicken carcasses. Kids loved it… for the most part. Felicia buried her face in her hands for about a third of the show. Turner got to touch a boa constrictor. Surprised me! :o)

April 19 - Traditional Thai Massaaarrghh!

It was overcast this morning so I took the boys to the playground at the end of our street. It was their second visit to this playground and Ronan was very excited to go on the see-saw. They’d never seen/used one before Thailand. Boy that brought back memories. It took Turner about 37 seconds to learn that if he jumps up real hard it makes for a less that pleasant ride for his 10 pound lighter younger brother. It took Turner another 15 seconds to learn that if he keeps see-sawing too hard he slides forward off the seat onto the bar and has an unpleasant ride for himself.
Then later in the morning we hired a housekeeper to come in once a week and clean the house. I’m sooooo not in my comfort zone. However, with every child that’s blessed our lives, I‘ve learned to let go of my control freaked-ness a little more…. I think I can get adjusted to Pia cleaning my house :o) She starts in a week.
After that I had my 1st Thai massage at Healthland Spa.
A few things I’ve learned from the experience:
- You can get a 2 hour traditional Thai massage for $12!
- I need to stretch before the massage.
- Look out! That little Thai woman giving you a massage will TAKE YOU OUT with just her thumbs.
- My calf muscles are NOT strong enough to withstand a Thai massage.
- Two hours goes quickly when you don’t have 4 kids around.
