May 22 - Manila to Los Banos to Lipa... within 12 hours

We hit the Starbucks in the morning and have lunch at a pizza place at Eastwood Mall. I leave our dirty laundry with Manay Nori at Tita Oyen’s house… alleluiah!

Then, Carlito, the driver, takes us to Tita Minda’s place in Los Banos for a family reunion(Inay’s side). It was a bit of a challenge. We were suppose to meet up with someone at the gate to UP-Los Banos. Carlito's phone wasn't getting any signal.... We eventually made it... It was about a 2 or 3 hour drive(I can’t remember for sure, but on the drive we did see a chicken cross the road... I don't know why).
We stay for a couple of hours and visit with cousins, tias and tios.



Next, Carlito drives us the hour or so to Hapag restaurant(which is run by a childhood playmate of Tatay’s) in Lipa where we meet Tito Rudy, Tita Ning-Ning, Ate Karin, Ate Maita and all their kids. My kids are in heaven… they’re having SODA! We spend the night at Tita Ning-Ning’s in the same room I remember from our trip back in the 80s. Felicia sleeps with her cousins, Gigay and Ayla... Felicia's really enjoying the girl company. Overnight, the cats scream and the roosters crow… I suppose that’s technically morning… but it really FEELS like night.
